Taronga Zoo's Birds
There are a number of different bird species that live at Taronga Zoo. These bird species come from all over the world- from places like the cold Antarctic to the hot African lands. Birds often have two sets of appendages and a tail. They have a pair of legs, a tail, and a pair of wings, however not all birds' wings are able to make them fly. Down below are some photographs of some of the bird species at Taronga Zoo. Unlike mammals, birds lay eggs. They do not give birth to live young. Take a look at them and click on the 'Cassowary Button' or hover over the "Birds" tab and click on the 'Cassowary' page to find out more information on them! Down below there is a map with a red circle on it. Find the circle to see where the cassowaries are located.
